On June 10 2021 upon the decision of the General jurisdiction court of the city of Yerevan, the petition of the first deputy chief of the Police of the Republic of Armenia was considered to issue permission to undertake operational investigative measures - surveillance of telephone conversations, which was granted by the court.
Disagreeing with the position of the court of first instance of the city of Yerevan, lawyers Arsen Sardaryan and Gayane Papoyan appealed to the Court of Appeal, as a result of which the court, by its decision dated July 8, 2021, satisfied the lawyers’ complaint, annulling the decision of the trial court June 10 November 2021 and rejecting the petition First Deputy Chief of the RA Police.
RA Prosecutor General A. Davtyan filed a cassation appeal against the mentioned decision of the Court of Appeal.
As a result of an investigation that lasted about two years, the Court of Cassation, by its decision of September 15 of this year, rejected the complaint of the RA Prosecutor General Artur Davtyan. The decision of the Court of Appeal remained in force following the appeal of lawyers Arsen Sardaryan and Gayane Papoyan.
