By an order of the RA Minister of Defense, our client A.A. had been granted financial support for the purchase of an apartment in the amount of only 50% of its value.
Attorney Edgar Ayvazyan filed a claim with the RA Administrative Court, substantiating that the support should be provided in the amount of 100% of the apartment price, since the legislative amendment adopted later is not applicable to A.A., based on the principle that legal norms worsening a person’s situation do not have retroactive effect.
By the judgment rendered on March 17, 2026, the Administrative Court fully satisfied the claim and obliged the Ministry of Defense to provide A.A. with financial support covering 100% of the apartment price to which he is entitled (see administrative case No. VD/5963/05/25).
